Jobs and Volunteering

The Heugh Battery Museum preserves the only First World War battlefield in the UK and commemorates the bombardment of the Hartlepools in December 1914.

About Volunteering

We are a friendly team of volunteers with a can-do attitude! New volunteers can be guaranteed a warm welcome and no two days that are ever the same.

We rely on volunteers to keep the museum clean and tidy, maintain the collections, guide and greet visitors and help to host our special events.
Whether you can give us two hours or two days of your time to help, we would love to hear from you.

To volunteer at the Heugh Battery Museum you must be over 18 years of age.
